Calian adds the DSA, CLGD and SFD DOCSIS test products to its cable access offering
OTTAWA, August 1, 2024 – Calian Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY) announced today that as of August 1, 2024, Calian acquired a family of DOCSIS test products from Rohde & Schwarz. The portfolio of products was originally developed in partnership with Rohde & Schwarz and has advanced and expanded over the years. Once this transfer is complete, Calian intends to expand the product family with enhancements and future products to continue to grow this business and bring continued value to new and existing customers of these products.
The eco-system of the DSA DOCSIS signal analyzer, CLGD DOCSIS cable load generator and SFD DOCSIS signal generator forms a portfolio of test products that offer industry-leading DOCSIS test solutions. The portfolio of products helps ASIC and IC vendors as well as cable access equipment vendors design next-generation cable access equipment. Cable MSO can use the family of test products to ensure the performance of cable access equipment before it is deployed in their network to ensure its performance and guarantee positive customer experiences.

Rohde & Schwarz and Calian have been partners of Calian’s Advanced Technology business since June 2011 and have jointly developed test and measurement instruments for DOCSIS. The transfer of the DOCSIS product portfolio to Calian demonstrates Calian’s commitment to growth in this industry.
