This year, Calilan’s IT & Cyber Solutions team travelled to Las Vegas to attend and speak at Microsoft’s Fabric Community Conference, an event focusing on data and how you can leverage artificial intelligence within your organization. As advocates of strategic AI adoption, and as a preferred partner for Microsoft Fabric, our participation was critical.

How Calian shined at Fabric Community Conference:

  • Hosted a tech talk with real-life use cases such as:
    • Personalization in commercial banking
    • Supply chain optimization
  • Had a showcase booth with demos beside Microsoft and PwC
  • Brought a team of experts in AI and data readiness to have valued conversations with curious prospects, industry leaders and data/AI enthusiasts

Calian experts Noel Trinidade, Helena Yu and Ajit Upadhyaya delivered an exceptional tech-talk on Enabling AI-Powered Commerce: Predictive Analytics, Hyper-Personalization and Dynamic Pricing. With 40+ attendees at the tech talk, the presenters explored how integrating AI into commerce can enhance customer experiences and accelerate business growth. Their insights sparked engaging discussions, highlighting the transformative potential of AI.

Conference Key Takeaways

  • The Devil is in the Data: Everyone is trying to figure out data and how to structure, organize, track and maintain it so that it can provide true value to the organization. Data insights are pivotal in today’s decision-making.
  • One-for-all, All-for-One: There are data vendors that help you with your data, there are thought leaders that are driving the “art of possible”, and there are pragmatists that are working to take a methodical approach to data and AI holistically. In essence, the event has something for every curious analyst, executive and thought leader.
  • The Data Goldrush Begins: There has been strong growth in this event over the past three years. Last year, FabCon saw 8,000 attendees across two events between Las Vegas and Stockholm. This year, Vegas alone saw over 6,200 attendees. This is a strong indicator that there is increasingly serious discussion about data’s value and how to leverage it properly to improve business efficacy.
  • More Laggards than Leaders: It’s not too late. As much as we have talked about the data tsunami in the digital era, businesses are still working to catch up, rather than stay ahead. They struggle to prioritize, operationalize and optimize their business. Include added complexity around the proliferation of information coming at them all day, every day, and its impact becomes clearer. It’s overwhelming. Leaders in this space need to show how investment in data readiness and management is impactful to their success.

We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Microsoft, which empowers us to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients and provides us with the opportunity to learn from the community.
